1. What is the age range for campers?
Boys Camp and Girls Camp are open to youth ages 10–18. Yosemite Camp is designed for older campers and volunteers who are focused on leadership development.
2. Who can volunteer at the camps?

- Yosemite Camp: Invite-Only. Open to both experienced youth mentors and newer volunteers interested in leadership training.
3. How long are the camps?
- Boys Camp runs for one week.
- Girls Camp runs for 3 days during a weekend.
- Yosemite Camp is a multi-day retreat.
4. What is the focus of Yosemite Camp?
Yosemite Camp emphasizes leadership skills, mentorship, and relationship-building through hiking and meaningful educational discussions. It prepares older campers to serve as leaders in future camps.
5. What kinds of activities do campers participate in?
- Boys Camp: Activities include hiking, outdoor skills, rope climbing, music, cooking, swimming, woodworking, arts and crafts, nature/science walks, along with teamwork and social skill-building.
- Girls Camp: Focuses on hiking, outdoor skills, rope climbing, music, cooking, swimming, woodworking, arts and crafts, nature/science walks, teamwork, and social bonding discussions led by experienced mentors.
- Yosemite Camp: Focuses on hiking, leadership discussions, relationship building, and social skills.
6. Are scholarships available?

7. What is the camper-to-volunteer ratio?
We maintain a low 3:1 camper-to-volunteer ratio to ensure personalized attention, safety, and a supportive environment for all participants.
8. Can parents visit during camp?
For safety and to allow campers to immerse fully in the experience, parents are not permitted to visit during camp.
9. What is the food situation at camp?
All meals are provided, with an emphasis on balanced and nutritious options. We can accommodate dietary restrictions with prior notice. [LINK: Contact us here]
10. How do I apply to be a camper or volunteer?
Applications for campers and volunteers can be submitted [LINK: here]. Early applications are encouraged, as spots fill up quickly.
11. What should campers bring to camp?

A packing list will also be provided upon registration, including essentials like comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, personal hygiene items, and any specific gear for activities.
12. How is safety ensured during camp?
Safety is our top priority. All volunteers are trained and background-checked, and camps are equipped with first aid resources, a certified lifeguard for swimming activities, and emergency procedures. Activities are supervised by experienced leaders.
13. Are campers divided by age or mixed together?
Campers participate in activities with peers in similar age groups, fostering age-appropriate engagement and connection.
14. How does C.A.M.P. ensure inclusivity?
C.A.M.P. is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for youth of all backgrounds and financial situations. Scholarships, diverse programming, and a focus on community building ensure everyone feels welcome.
15. Can I call my child while they are away at camp?
No. In order to allow our campers to reconnect and “detox” from today’s digital age, phones and other electronics are prohibited and will not function at the campsite. Due to the nature of our surrounding areas, there is very limited WiFi and/or little to no cell phone signal. In case of an emergency, one of our volunteers will contact the Emergency Contact Number written on the registration form from a direct line.
